Job Description

Hebrew SeniorLife, a Boston-based nonprofit affiliated with Harvard Medical School, is seeking an Evening Staff Nurse LPN to provide compassionate care to older adults in a skilled nursing setting. In this role, you will deliver hands-on clinical care, administer medications and treatments, and closely monitor residents' health status. You'll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and follow individualized care plans, support residents with daily activities, and ensure dignity, safety, and comfort. Responsibilities Provide direct evening nursing care to senior residents following care plans Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately Monitor and document residents' conditions in EMR systems Communicate changes in status to RNs, physicians, and families Support ADLs and promote resident dignity, safety, and comfort Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on care planning Follow infection control and safety protocols Supervise and support CNAs and other support staff as assigned Educate residents and families on care and health management Participate in quality improvement and compliance activities Required Skills Medication administration Geriatric nursing care Skilled nursing/long-term care Electronic medical records (EMR) Wound care and dressing changes Vital signs monitoring and assessment Infection control practices Patient and family education Care planning and documentation Supervision of CNAs/support staff
