SIGN ON BONUS CO-OP
has 33 residential homes and 6 Day Programs. Our 24/7 supervised residential programs focus on a person-centered planning approach and working with individuals to create homes adapted to meet individual needs. We provide support in the areas of life skills, social skills, and community integration with an emphasis on pursuing personal goals and interests. Each day our staff provides guidance, support, and direction as needed on new skills/tasks, behavior management, personal development, social skills, and communication. They take pride in assisting individuals in achieving goals by maintaining knowledge of their learning styles, strengths, and support needs, and ensuring that skills are taught accordingly. ABI LPN The ABI LPN is responsible for implementing and monitoring an array of health care and other personal support services designed to enrich the lives of people with developmental and other disabilities and brain injuries. All duties shall be performed in a dignified and supportive manner so as not to diminish a person\'s self-identity or self-esteem. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing diverse basic care to those who need it while remaining patient and calm.
A Sampling of Essential Duties:
  • Administer medications and implement nursing treatment plans
  • Confer with physicians, dentists, and therapists as appropriate
  • Communicate with and provide necessary information on relevant health issues to parents, guardians, and applicable staff
  • Respond to participant complaints of illness and recommend appropriate action
  • Confer with pharmacists regarding medications and their acquisitions as appropriate
  • Monitor seizure disorder records
  • Monitor and assess the general health status of participants, including hygiene issues and skin integrity
  • Administer minor first aid when necessary
  • Complete all health-related documentation requirements
  • Provide standard First Aid/CPR certification training and other assigned training to Agency employees
Requirements:
  • Current Licensure by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Practical Nurse
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Maintain current BLS Certification in Massachusetts
  • Experience working with individuals with ABI preferred; CO-OP will provide training
  • Possession of a valid driver\'s license, a safe driving record, and an agreement to use one\'s personal vehicle for business purposes.
  • Acceptable Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) check, upon hire
  • Acceptable screen against the

WORKING CONDITIONS
Employees are required to assist participants who may demonstrate aggressive or self-injurious behavior through direct intervention and conformance with behavioral programs. Employee assignments and work schedules are subject to change contingent upon the needs of individual participants or groups of participants. About
