Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Take the next step in your nursing journey with an exciting contract opportunity as a Licensed Practical Nurse supporting a dedicated elementary school community near Lowell, MA. This full-time role covers August 2026 through June 2027, offering meaningful work alongside a full-time RN in a shared office setting. You'll become a consistent, trusted presence for students and staff during the school year, with the potential to continue in future years based on fit and performance.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Current LPN/LVN license in good standing for Massachusetts Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills Ability to respond calmly and effectively to medical situations Reliable attendance and commitment to the full academic year
Primary Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the school RN to address students' healthcare needs during school hours Deliver routine nursing care, medication administration, and first aid as required Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with school policies Offer compassionate support and education to students, families, and staff Contribute to a safe, inclusive environment for all learners This position follows a regular Monday through Friday schedule, 8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., totaling 32-35 hours per week, aligning with the academic calendar.
