Nursing Supervisor Job Summary:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) in a post-acute care setting. The LPN plays a key role in ensuring patients receive necessary medical care and support during their recovery period.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor patient health, including vital signs, and report changes to the RN or healthcare provider. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and within the scope of practice. Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and other basic medical procedures. Help patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding. Provide patient education on medication use, wound care, and rehabilitation exercises. Record and update patient medical information accurately in patient records. Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff. Collaborate with RNs and other healthcare professionals to provide patient care and support recovery.
Qualifications:
Active LPN license in the state of Massachusetts. Graduate of an accredited nursing program. 1-2 years of experience in a long-term care or post-acute care setting preferred. CPR/BLS certification.
