Job Description

Position Overview

Somerset Public Schools is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and highly qualified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our school nursing team. The LPN will work collaboratively with the school nurse, students, families, and school staff to provide high-quality health services and support a safe and healthy learning environment for all students.

Essential Responsibilities:

Provide nursing care and health services to students in accordance with established school health policies and procedures.

  • Administer medications and treatments as directed and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Monitor and respond appropriately to student health needs and medical concerns.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential health records and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with the school nurse, families, staff, and healthcare providers as appropriate.
  • Assist with the management of students with acute, chronic, and complex health needs.
  • Respond appropriately to health-related emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
  • Support the implementation of individualized healthcare plans and emergency care plans.
  • Promote student health, wellness, safety, and independence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the school nurse or administration.

$30 to $32 Per Hour
