We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Health Department and support the healthcare needs of adolescents and young adults in our residential and congregate care programs. About the Role Working under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, the LPN provides nursing support and helps ensure youth receive timely, coordinated, and comprehensive healthcare.

Responsibilities include:

Assess and respond to youth health needs, including health screenings, monitoring, and follow-up care. Provide health education, coaching, and wellness support to youth, including support with Healthy Eating Plans. Support medication administration practices, health-related training, and other Health Department activities. Provide backup on-call nursing coverage during Nurse Manager absences. What We're Looking For Current Massachusetts LPN license Minimum of two years post-licensure experience Experience in community health, social services, or adolescent care preferred Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team Experience or comfort working with adolescents with mental health or behavioral challenges Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Schedule & Compensation Full-time, hourly/non-exempt Full-time with significant scheduling flexibility. We are open to working with the selected candidate to develop a schedule that meets both individual preferences and program needs, including options for earlier or later weekday hours and/or weekend hours.

Pay:

$32-$34/hour, depending on experience and qualifications Backup on-call stipend: $75 for overnight coverage (approximately 5:00 p.m.-8:00 a.m.) and $125 for a 24-hour weekend or holiday coverage period, plus compensation for time actually worked while on call Generous benefits package Stevens values cultural humility and is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace for staff, youth, and families from all backgrounds.
