Medical Assistant / Licensed Practical Nurse (MA/LPN) Job Description This role provides hands-on clinical support in specialty clinic settings, focusing on rooming patients, assisting providers, and maintaining a clean, efficient, and patient-centered environment. Responsibilities Room patients efficiently and accurately, including taking vital signs, updating medical histories, and preparing patients for examinations and procedures. Assist providers during patient visits by preparing necessary supplies, supporting examinations, and following clinical instructions in a timely and professional manner. Clean and maintain medical equipment in accordance with clinic protocols to ensure safety, functionality, and infection control standards. Use electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient information, update charts, and support accurate and timely clinical documentation. Support daily clinic flow by coordinating patient movement through the clinic, helping to manage up to 25 patients per day. Collaborate with providers, nurses, and other team members to ensure high-quality patient care and a smooth clinic operation. Essential Skills Experience in rooming patients, including obtaining vital signs and preparing patients for examinations. Medical Assistant Diploma from a program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES, or completion of a state-approved Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications Hours Monday - Friday, 8am-4:30pm Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis Park, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
