LPN Dispensing Nurse (Part Time)

Licensed Practical Nurse (Entry Level, Dispensing) LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) Starting Point - Opioid Treatment Program - Brooklyn Park, MD 21401 Starting Point is seeking a Part Time Licensed Practical Nurse for Medication Dispensing 5:30am-11:00am. 3-4 days per week. The applicant must be licensed by the Maryland Board of Nursing.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Prepares and administers medication to Program clients, maintaining essential medication inventory records and logs in compliance with State and Federal regulations. Observes and appropriately records/reports changes in a client's condition. Provides physical addictions-related consultations to clients on an as-needed basis, recording such consultations in the client's record. Initiates and maintains interprogram arrangements consistent with the Program Protocol pertaining to the continuity of client care and treatment. Coordinates medical treatment by providing medical information, on behalf of the clients, to other services; i.e., hospitals, inpatient facilities, etc. Participates in professional development activities to maintain state-of-the-art knowledge and skills relevant to nursing practice in a drug rehabilitation program. Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
