PRIVATE DUTY NURSE

- RN or LPN | Lothian, MD 20711 | Overnight Shift | Weekly Pay Chesapeake Home Health Care (CHHC) is hiring an experienced and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide one-on-one private duty nursing care for a pediatric client in Lothian, Maryland (20711) . This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who enjoys working closely with pediatric clients and families while providing compassionate, skilled care in the comfort of the client's home.

THE CASE

We are seeking a nurse for a pediatric boy who requires experienced nursing support with complex medical needs. The ideal candidate must be comfortable and experienced with: G-Tube care Tracheostomy care In-line catheter care Respiratory monitoring and airway management Medication administration Monitoring for changes in the client's condition Following and implementing the physician-ordered Plan of Care Accurate electronic nursing documentation Providing safe, attentive one-on-one care throughout the shift

AVAILABLE OVERNIGHT SHIFTS

Preferred shift options: 9:00 PM - 9:00 AM 10:00 PM - 10:00 AM Consistent overnight coverage is needed.

COMPETITIVE PAY LPN

$35.00/hour

RN:

$50.00/hour

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The ideal nurse will have: Current, active Maryland RN or LPN license Current CPR/BLS certification Pediatric nursing experience Previous experience with G-Tube and tracheostomy care Experience with in-line catheter care Ability to work independently in a home setting Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills Excellent communication and documentation skills Dependability and commitment to consistent attendance A compassionate, patient-centered approach to pediatric care Experience with medically complex pediatric clients is strongly preferred.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Private Duty Nurse, you will provide individualized nursing care according to the client's Plan of Care and physician orders.

Responsibilities include:

Performing nursing assessments and monitoring the client's condition Providing G-Tube and tracheostomy care Managing in-line catheter care as ordered Administering medications and treatments Monitoring respiratory status and identifying changes in condition Maintaining a safe environment Providing appropriate interventions within the nurse's scope of practice Communicating changes in the client's condition to the appropriate clinical team Completing accurate and timely nursing documentation Working collaboratively with the family and CHHC clinical team
