Job Description

Make a meaningful impact by providing one-on-one nursing support in a supportive and collaborative school environment near Hallowell, ME. This opportunity is ideal for a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) who is seeking a rewarding, part-time role during the school year, with the possibility for extension into the next academic year.
Key Qualifications:
Active Maine LPN or RN license required Previous experience as a school nurse or in a pediatric setting preferred Ability to access and administer emergency seizure medication Strong communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care for a single student, ensuring their health and safety throughout the school morning Administer emergency seizure medication if necessary, acting swiftly and effectively in high-pressure situations Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to deliver consistent healthcare support Maintain clear records of care delivered and respond to medical needs as they arise Support a positive, inclusive learning environment
Position Details:
Immediate start available, with the role running through the first week of August and potential for the 2026-2027 school year Work three mornings per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), 7:30AM to 11:00AM Manage a caseload of one student, allowing for highly personalized care Enjoy a pay range of $35-$40 per hour, paid weekly
