Description Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily nursing operations and coordinate care delivery for residents
• Supervise and support nursing staff, including LPNs and CNAs, ensuring adherence to care plans and policies
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and in accordance with physician orders
• Conduct resident assessments and document health status and progress
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and safety standards
• Respond promptly to resident needs and emergencies, providing leadership during critical situations
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation

Skills and Qualifications:

• Valid and current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice
• Proven experience in a long-term care or nursing home setting
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to nursing home care
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach to resident care
