Staff Development Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities:
Conducting New Hire Orientation for all new hires to the facility Conducting ad hoc and scheduled educations to nursing department and all staff as needed Participate in the on-call rotation for the nursing team as needed Attend and participate in leadership meetings daily, monthly, weekly, as needed Work to maintain competency and education records for all nursing and CNA staff Informing DON of persistent issues related to non-compliant documentation Protecting the confidentiality of Resident & Facility information at all times
Staff Development Coordinator Qualifications and Skills:
Valid RN or LPN License Knowledge of skilled nursing facilities survey process and regulations would be helpful. Prior Nurse Managment or Education Experience preferred Long Term Care Experience Required Must be able to work 40 hours a week Must be highly organized, professional & motivated Should have solid computer skills Excellent communication skills Should be friendly and a team worker
