Position Summary:
Arbor Recovery Michigan is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team as a Methadone Dosing Nurse. This role is critical to ensuring accurate and timely medication administration while delivering compassionate care to patients. Key Responsibilities:
Administer methadone and other medications to patients in accordance with established protocols. Observe and monitor patients for adverse reactions or side effects during and after dosing. Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of medication administration and patient observations in compliance with clinic policies and regulations. Assist with initial and ongoing assessments of patients as needed. Educate patients on medication, treatment plans, and health practices. Ensure a clean and safe clinical environment by adhering to infection control standards. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide holistic care. Stay compliant with federal, state, and local regulations related to medication-assisted treatment.
Qualifications:
Current and valid LPN license in Michigan. Experience in addiction medicine, behavioral health, or outpatient care is preferred but not required. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting. Empathy and a nonjudgmental attitude towards patient care. Familiarity with medication-assisted treatment (MAT) protocols is a plus, though training will be provided.
