Position Summary:

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our clinical team in a vital role supporting patient care by phone. You will be a trusted point of contact, helping patients feel heard, informed, and supported while collaborating closely with providers and clinical staff. This position is ideal for someone with excellent communication skills, strong clinical judgment, and a warm, positive attitude who enjoys a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Triage incoming patient calls and electronic messages for providers Provide prompt, friendly assistance to patients over the phone Assess patient symptoms and guide patients to the appropriate level of care Communicate provider recommendations and lab/test results Facilitate prescription refills and prior authorizations Document patient interactions accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) system Offer clear and empathetic support by phone, answering general health questions Relay messages to appropriate clinical or administrative team members Support additional or evolving clinical duties as Born Clinic continues to grow

Requirements:

Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Michigan Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical office or ambulatory care setting Interest or experience in functional medicine or integrative healthcare Strong customer service focus with excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to assess situations, think critically, and provide appropriate guidance Professional and confident phone communication skills with a warm, empathetic demeanor Accurate documentation skills with strong attention to detail Proven ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment Tech-savvy with EHR experience strongly preferred Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a team Passion or curiosity for functional/integrative medicine preferred Regular and reliable attendance is essential to the role Commitment to professional standards including HIPAA, OSHA, confidentiality, and patient safety Why Join Born Clinic?
