Job description Otterbein Jackson, a non-profit senior living community, exists for the purpose of providing a quality continuum of care to enrich the lives of those we serve in a family environment. Our vision is to enhance the lives of seniors and their families by reaching beyond our walls through community partnerships and innovation. We're seeking PRN Nurses to join our
Health Center/AL Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assess and evaluates patient's needs for, and responses to, care rendered
  • Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions
  • Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses
  • Administer over the counter and prescription medication as ordered
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to create Plan of Care for all patients
  • Coordinate self-driven wellness programming for those individuals who are more independent, and less reliant on assistance
  • Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain standards or professional nursing
  • Coordinate healthcare services (specifically those services that come from sources outside of the health center facility — like on-boarding and supporting hospice staff)
  • Build and maintain relationships with other home health organizations
  • Maintain consistent contact with local physicians to stay up-to-date on each individuals' medical needs and service expectations
  • Coordinate discharges for individuals whose needs are no longer being met
Qualifications:
  • Valid LPN license required, will consider graduated nurses!
  • Advance knowledge in EMR's.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedule and to fill in when needed.
  • Excellent bedside manner and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of health care laws and regulations.
