Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling opportunity supporting student health and well-being as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a dynamic middle school setting. This part-time contract position invites you to make a meaningful difference while maintaining a balanced work schedule—just one day per week, from 7:45 AM to 3:00 PM. Ideal candidates will bring their expertise to a busy health office, ensuring middle schoolers receive compassionate and efficient care throughout the school day.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Current, active LPN or LVN license in Minnesota Prior experience in a school, pediatric, or public health setting is a plus Strong clinical skills and the ability to respond calmly to emergencies Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing confidential student health information CPR certification preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Provide assessment, intervention, and documentation for student health concerns Administer prescribed medications and perform treatments according to physician and school policy Collaborate with staff, teachers, and parents regarding student health needs Maintain accurate health records and reports Monitor and manage minor illnesses, injuries, and chronic health conditions Support health education and wellness initiatives within the school community This position offers the benefit of part-time hours, flexibility, and the opportunity to positively impact young lives in a supportive educational environment.
