As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering academic, social, and behavioral growth for students receiving special education services.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid teaching certification in Special Education Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or a related field Previous experience working with students with disabilities, preferably in a K-12 setting Strong collaboration and communication skills Ability to adapt instruction to meet individual student needs Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Positive, patient, and resourceful approach to classroom challenges
Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans tailored to each student's needs Implement and manage IEPs, maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings Utilize a range of teaching techniques and assistive technology as needed
