Southdale Pediatrics is an independent group of Allergists and Pediatricians caring for families across the Twin Cities since 1948. As our practice continues to grow, we are excited to expand our Asthma & Allergy Department and are seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. This is a new position created to support our growing patient population and continued commitment to providing exceptional asthma and allergy care. The schedule will primarily include day shifts from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with occasional evening hours until 6:30 PM. Travel between Edina and Burnsville clinics is required.

Licensed Practical Nurse Responsibilities:

Prepare patients for Asthma & Allergy examinations, including obtaining vital signs and relevant medical history. Assist physicians with allergy and asthma procedures, including skin testing, pulmonary function testing, nebulizer treatments, exercise challenges, and immunotherapy. Administer medications, treatments, vaccinations, and allergy injections as ordered by healthcare providers. Provide patient and family education regarding asthma, allergies, medications, treatment plans, and emergency medications. Respond to patient calls and electronic messages, appropriately triaging and escalating concerns. Maintain accurate EMR documentation, examination rooms, supplies, and equipment.

Licensed Practical Nurse Qualifications:

Current, active Minnesota LPN license in good standing. Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain within the required timeframe. Minimum of three years of licensed practical nursing experience required; outpatient experience preferred. Minimum of two years of Asthma & Allergy or other specialty nursing experience preferred. Must work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment and demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills. Must be comfortable working with pediatric and adult patients and responding appropriately to changes in patient condition.

Full-time, 32 or 40 hours per week

Pay:

$26.00 - $33.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 40.0 per week
