Job Description

LPN/CMA - Team setting, no evenings or weekends. We're looking for a full-time medical support staff (LPN, CST or CMA). GAP year pre-professional (i.e. pre-med, pre-PA) are also encouraged to apply. Moh's Surgery coverage at our Fridley and Eden Prairie clinics. The role of the Medical Support Staff is to perform both administrative and clinical duties under the direction of a physician. Each week this position will alternate between Fridley 3 days a week and Eden Prairie 2 days a week.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist and/or observe dermatologists with patient care procedures. Assist with surgery, instrumentation processing, sterile field, prescriptions, etc. Ensure all open lines of communication between patients, staff and physicians with demonstrated professionalism, efficiency and confidentiality. Act as a liaison between patients and providers to address and/or resolve problems, questions and concerns including test results and prescription renewals. Prepare patients/rooms for physical examinations; interview patients to obtain medical histories; assist with documentation; explain treatment procedures and aftercare. Educate patients. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Current Certified Medical Assistant or LPN Licensure or 4 year degree equivalent
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced environment.
  • High level of customer service and professionalism required.

K Profit Sharing Physical Demands:
Requires full range of body motion including handling and occasionally lifting patients. Lifting up to 50 pounds, but not limited to that amount. Requires standing, stooping, sitting, and walking for extended periods of time. Requires working occasional extended hours.
Work Environment:
Room temperature varies. Exposure to biohazard materials. Safety personal protective equipment provided by the employer are lab coats, goggles, latex gloves, masks, disposable gowns/hats/shoe covers, fume guard, emergency eye wash station, and biohazard waste control.
