$5,000 Sign On Bonus!! Purpose of Job This position is responsible for performing a variety of patient care activities to assist providers and nursing personnel in a specialty clinic. Facilitates patient/physician/provider communication and coordination of care. Job Functions Escorts patients to examination room and obtains vitals and documents in EMRSupports physician in documentation of patient's visit by entering physician's dictation in to the EMR system during the patients visitAdministers prescribed medications/vaccine's and treatments in accordance with clinic policies and scope of certification/licensurePrepares equipment and assists providers during examination, testing and treatment of patientsPerforms room turn over in patient rooms between cases and at the end of dayPerforms specialty procedures/tests as directed by the PhysicianHelps maintain stocked supplies and sterilizes instruments/exam roomsAssists in arranging referrals/prior authorizations as necessaryProvides patient educationPerforms other duties as assigned Minimum Education/Work Experience/License/Certifications Graduation from Medical Assisting program or School of Practical Nursing Current LPN Licensure or Medical Assistant (MA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) Current CPR certification Knowledge/Skills/ Abilities Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient careKnowledge of medical terminologyAbility to effectively handle high-stress fast paced environmentAbility to multi-taskAbility to serve patients in a friendly and efficient mannerKnowledge of basic computer functions and Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to respond appropriately to unpredictable situations and diverse patient populationsAbility to work autonomously and as a teamCapable of making independent decisions with the use of good critical thinking and problem solving skillsAbility to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above Preferred Qualification EMR experience2+ years Urgent Care experience Link to Employee Health Physical Demands Compensation Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation such as: the requirements of the position, experience, education, knowledge, and skills along with location and internal equity.
