Job Description

Part Time Position for LPN CHS has an immediate opening in our Fulton, MO location part-time (15-20 hours)
LPN. JOB SUMMARY
Provides education, medication management and administration, basic medical evaluation, and emergency medical services to consumers; maintains required medical and medication documentation; and assists the psychiatric provider in ordering medications and laboratory tests and distribution of documentation.
MAJOR JOB ELEMENTS
  • Meet with consumers regarding medical concerns and discussing possible solutions.
  • Insure clinical excellence of medical services such as annual evaluations, AIMS, and medication management provided by the agency to consumers.
  • Fill Medication Boxes and take meds to consumer's homes as needed. Discuss med changes with RCF providers, guardians, and family members when applicable.
  • Provide training to staff on infection control, risk management and other area as needed.
  • Oversee the triage of medical conditions that occur during treatment including arrange for medical appointments and conferring with the attending physician as necessary or acquiring medical services when prudent.
  • Manage medical emergencies such as accidental injuries, drug reactions, seizures.
  • Monitor labs, review charts and ensure that follow up is conducted as directed.
  • Review prescription and over-the-counter medication requirements with consumers, clarify and instruct on usage, oversee self-administration of medication. Provide general oversight of reviewing prescription and over-the-counter medication requirements with consumers.
  • Other duties as assigned by the doctor/Clinical Director or CEO.
  • Responsible for assuring compliance with CHS code of conduct in an effort to maintain the ethical integrity of the agency as a whole when dealing with client issues.
  • Ensure that quality standards are met and that the medical management of the consumers is documented in the medical record in a timely fashion in accordance with CHS policies and quality assurance standards.
Make notes specific in order to meet DMH standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
Current nursing license in the state of Missouri.
