- $3500 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care and will be skilled in various nursing practices. As an LPN, you will play a crucial role in supporting patients across different settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, and outpatient clinics. Your ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and communicate effectively with patients and their families is essential. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed. Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes. Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning. Educate patients and families on health management, medication administration, and post-care instructions. Perform procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, phlebotomy, and wound care. Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility assistance. Skills The following skills are essential or beneficial for the role of
Licensed Practical Nurse:
Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks. Experience in critical care, emergency medicine, or acute care settings. Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, and medication administration protocols. Familiarity with specialized areas such as geriatrics, pediatrics, hospice care, memory care, Alzheimer's care, and behavioral health. Strong patient assessment skills with the ability to recognize changes in patient conditions. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or special needs. Competence in performing basic life support (BLS) and other emergency interventions. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
