Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team as a Staff Nurse. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to diverse patient populations across various settings. Your expertise will support patient recovery, comfort, and well-being through skilled assessments, medication administration, and personalized care plans. Duties Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health histories to determine individual needs. Administer medications, and other treatments following established protocols and safety standards. Monitor patients' conditions closely, recognizing signs of acute pain, infection, or deterioration, and respond promptly with appropriate interventions. Maintain accurate medical documentation while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and long-term care regulations. Collaborate effectively with physicians, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care. Educate patients and their families on health management strategies, pre/post procedure and medication instructions. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or equivalent certification. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for documentation and patient management. Competence in IV insertion, medication administration including injections and venipuncture; basic life support (BLS) certification required. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with patients of all ages—including pediatrics—and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
