A Licensed Practical Nurse or Vocational Nurse provides basic medical care under the direction of registered nurses and other healthcare specialists. The tasks that they are permitted to perform vary by state, but usually include changing bandages, checking blood pressure, or helping feed patients. May work in hospitals, nursing homes, or other healthcare facilities.

How you'll contribute A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who excels in this role: As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care to patients in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN. Documents patient care given. Supports providers with overall needs of the clinic. What we're looking for Applicants should have a current state LPN license. High school diploma or equivalent required.
Additional requirements include:
Active North Carolina LPN license (single-state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins. Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Previous Family Medicine or Pediatric Care is required.
