Brook Stone Living Center is a locally owned facility with 80 skilled and 20 assisted living beds.

Purpose:

7a-7p or 7p-7a

• Provide quality patient care by assisting the Director of Nurses in his/her responsibility toward patients and employees in the nursing unit.

Qualifications:

• Must be a graduate of an approved school of Nursing
• Must be a licenses LPN in the state of NC
• Must be of good physical and mental health and sound character
• Must be trainable and willing to cooperate with others
• Must have prior experiences in principles of rehabilitative and restorative nursing care

Responsibilities:

• Work under the direction of the Director of Nursing
• Help assist the Director as appropriate
• Practice good ethical conduct on duty
• Assume any duty assigned within the bounds of an LPN's professional license
• Continue education by attending workshops, in-service classes and by reading literature
• Make rounds with physicians and assist them in examinations and treatments of the patient
• Perform all procedures of good nursing care
• Perform isolation procedures as necessary
• Be alert to all needs of patients and report accurately essential facts to the physician
• Notify physicians and families of change in patients' status
• Set up and administer medications to patients
• Maintain patient records as required
• Maintain accurate narcotic records
• Assist in making out assignment sheets and follow-up on duties performed
• Give report to oncoming nurse
• Order medications for patients and unit
• Any other duties as assigned by

DON/Administrator Pay:

$25.00 - $32.00 per hour
