What You'll Do Utilizes the nursing process in assessing and evaluating patient needs and problems, planning and implementing nursing care, evaluating patient response and progress toward outcomes and revising the plan of care accordingly. Provides direct patient care and implements physician orders (administers medications, treatments, IV therapy; meets needs for hygiene, nutrition, positioning and activity; applies other interventions appropriate to patient and SO needs). Prioritizes, organizes, delegates care activities as appropriate to patient and shift needs; provides supervision of delegated tasks. Assesses readiness and need for patient/SO education including discharge planning needs; provides appropriate teaching and support. Communicates and collaborates with the physician and other health care providers to meet patient needs; participates in rounds, utilizes lab results, progress notes and other parts of the medical record to keep informed regarding patient condition. Documents assessments, evaluations, and interventions; provides other verbal, written and automated communication needed. What You Need Graduate of an accredited nursing program Active Nebraska LPN license Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications Strong communication skills, flexibility, empathy, and attention to detail Licenses & Certifications Required Licensed Practical Nurse Skills Preferred React and perform under stress HIPAA privacy requirements Infection control standards Verbal & written communication Multi-task Detail-oriented Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
