Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to inform care plans. Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols while maintaining detailed medical documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Perform specialized procedures including IV infusion, catheterization, tube feeding, venipuncture, and sterile processing techniques with precision. Assist with diagnostic evaluations like medical imaging, laboratory specimen collection and processing, and cardiac catheterization preparations. Manage airway and ventilator support for patients in critical care settings such as ICU or Level I trauma centers; provide emergency response during urgent situations like airway management or acute pain episodes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, hospice care, and post-acute care strategies to optimize patient outcomes. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical records while adhering to infection control standards. Experience Proven experience working in diverse healthcare environments including hospital medicine, emergency rooms, ICU, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or neonatal units. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks for medical documentation and patient records management. Critical care experience in Level II or Level I trauma centers preferred; familiarity with

ICD-9/ICD-10

coding for accurate documentation is advantageous. Hands-on experience with medical-surgical procedures, geriatrics, dementia care—including Alzheimer's and memory care—and behavioral health support. Knowledge of advanced nursing practices such as pain management, infection control protocols, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general. Ability to perform phlebotomy, medication administration via various routes including injections and IV insertion, suturing skills are a plus. Prior experience in home & community care settings or travel nursing is desirable; familiarity with pediatric and neonatal patient care is beneficial.
