Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing care to diverse patient populations across various healthcare settings, including long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, and home care environments. Your expertise in patient assessment, medication administration, and clinical procedures will ensure optimal patient outcomes. This position offers a rewarding chance to deliver exceptional care with flexibility and enthusiasm. Duties Assess residents' basic health status and report changes to the RN or provider. Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policies. Monitor vital signs, blood glucose, pain, oxygen levels, and other clinical indicators. Perform wound care, dressing changes, catheter care, and other nursing procedures within the LPN scope of practice. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, toileting, eating, and mobility, as needed. Communicate with physicians, RNs, CNAs, residents, and families regarding residents' care. Provide care to residents with dementia, including safety monitoring and behavioral support. Assist with care planning and follow established individualized care plans. Experience Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with current state certification required; multi-state licensure preferred for travel flexibility. Proven experience working in various healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU or Level I Trauma Centers), nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home care settings. Critical care experience including ICU or emergency medicine is highly desirable; familiarity with Level II trauma centers is a plus. Demonstrated proficiency in EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks; experience with
ICD-9/ICD-10
coding is advantageous. Prior exposure to specialized fields such as hospice care, infectious disease management, acute pain control, or behavioral health enhances your candidacy. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology related to medication administration and patient assessment techniques. Experience working with diverse populations including geriatric patients requiring memory or dementia care; pediatric experience is a bonus. Ability to adapt quickly to new environments while maintaining high standards of clinical confidentiality and compliance with long-term care regulations.
