  • Denville, NJ 2026-2027 School Year | AM & PM Bus Runs | Monday-Friday HumanEdge Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dependable and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide 1:1 nursing support during school transportation for a student attending school in Denville, NJ .
This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse looking for a consistent school-year assignment with short morning and afternoon hours rather than a traditional full-day nursing schedule.
Schedule Monday-Thursday Morning transportation:
8:45 AM Afternoon transportation: 3:15 PM Friday Morning transportation: 8:45 AM Afternoon transportation: 1:00 PM No nights. No weekends. School-year schedule. What You'll Do The nurse will accompany the student during transportation to and from school and provide appropriate nursing observation and support throughout the bus ride.
Responsibilities include:
Ride with the student during scheduled AM and PM transportation Monitor the student's condition and overall safety during transportation Recognize signs and symptoms of seizure activity Follow the student's established Seizure Action Plan Provide appropriate nursing intervention in the event of seizure activity or another medical concern Communicate appropriately with the family, school personnel, transportation staff, and nursing team Maintain required documentation Ensure a safe and supportive transportation experience for the student Must-Haves Current New Jersey RN or LPN license Current CPR/BLS certification Comfortable caring for a student with a seizure disorder Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to seizure activity Dependable and punctual — transportation coverage requires excellent attendance Comfortable working independently in a school transportation setting Ability to commit to both scheduled morning and afternoon bus runs Nice to Have Previous school nursing or pediatric nursing experience Experience providing 1:1 nursing care Experience with seizure precautions or seizure action plans Previous school bus or student transportation nursing experience Why You'll Love This Assignment This is a unique opportunity for a nurse who wants to make a meaningful difference for one student while maintaining flexibility during the middle of the day.
