Job Description
Premier Health Associates is a fully integrated, physician-owned and managed healthcare organization committed to providing the highest quality of care in the most cost-efficient manner within the communities we serve. Premier Health currently serves patients in 14 locations throughout Sussex, Warren and Morris Counties in NJ and Pike County, PA. Our Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking a full time LPN to assist with preadmission patient assessments via telephone. Our multi-specialty facility specializes in Gastroenterology, General Surgery and Pain Management.
Essential Functions:
- Perform thorough preadmission patient assessment under the direction of an RN to meet requirements of each approved procedure including, but not limited to, the medical history, medications, and allergies.
- Ensures all information is transcribed accurately into computer system.
- Reviews preoperative instructions with the patient to assure understanding of upcoming procedure.
- Obtains all preoperative testing results
- Collaborate with staff when setting the surgery schedule to ensure proper lineup.
Requirements:
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing with current/active license/certification
- CPR certification
- Competent in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgement and discretion
