Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Embark on a meaningful part-time opportunity near Santa Fe, New Mexico, serving as a 1:1 school-based nurse for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract role is perfect for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) eager to make a difference in a student's daily educational experience. The schedule offers the work-life balance of 3-4 hours per day, Monday through Thursday, and provides the chance to work in a supportive school community.
Qualifications:
Current, active New Mexico LPN, LVN, or RN license Prior pediatric or school-based nursing experience preferred Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills Effective communicator with students, families, and staff Ability to follow individualized care plans with attention to detail
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct 1:1 nursing care to a designated student throughout the school day Monitor and respond to the student's health needs per the individualized care plan Work collaboratively with educators, other healthcare professionals, and the student's family Accurately chart care provided and maintain compliance with district and state protocols Encourage a safe learning atmosphere, supporting the student's participation and well-being
