Responsibilities Schedule:
Monday- Friday, within the core clinic hours of 0600 to 1600
Shift Structure:
The Government supervisor reserves the right to make schedule adjustments as needed to meet patient care requirements.Job Specific Details and Tasks:
Serve as a Practical Nurse providing inpatient/outpatient services for patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines in the pain management clinic. Coordinate patient care with members of the pain management team and perioperative team to facilitate the achievements of optimal outcomes in relation to clinical care, quality, and cost effectiveness. Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the medical treatment facility (MTF). Provide care within ethical and legal Possess basic knowledge of emergency procedures in order to react promptly and appropriately to provide effective care during emergency situations, respiratory or cardiac Work with appropriate MTF/clinic staff in pain management to ensure medication/supplies are replenished. Skilled in preparing and administering medications in accordance with scope of practice and training. Perform/assist with procedures such as interventional pain procedures, bladder catheterizations, pulse oximetry, oxygen administration, EKGs, glucose testing, and other clinic specified procedures, in accordance with established protocols. Complete orientation and competency verification program in accordance with (IAW) unit guidelines. Place intravenous (IV) catheters to support procedural Provide outpatient clinic support, as well as support in a pre- and postoperative care setting to recover patients in a phase 2 environment.
