Job Overview Join our compassionate healthcare team as a Per Diem, Hospice Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), where your expertise will provide vital comfort and care to patients nearing the end of life. In this dynamic role, you will deliver personalized nursing services, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and support families through challenging times. Your dedication will help ensure patients experience dignity, respect, and pain relief in their final journey. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. Applicants must live in Pahrump. Only apply if you live in Pahrump. Duties Administer medications, including IV infusions, and manage symptom control such as acute pain and dementia-related behaviors Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, vital sign monitoring, and physical examinations to evaluate changing needs Provide wound care, catheterization, tube feeding management, and other skilled nursing procedures with precision and compassion Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and caregivers to develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with hospice standards and regulations Document all patient interactions accurately using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality policies Educate patients and families about disease progression, medication administration, and comfort measures to support informed decision-making Participate in discharge planning, case management, and triage activities to prioritize urgent needs efficiently Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), and documentation standards for hospice care Skilled in IV insertion, medication administration, catheter care, sterile technique, and basic life support (BLS) certification Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such Hospice MD for seamless medical records management Ability to communicate effectively with patients' families and multidisciplinary teams while demonstrating empathy and professionalism Embark on a fulfilling career where your skills directly impact the quality of life for patients during their most vulnerable moments.
