A Licensed Practical Nurse or Vocational Nurse provides basic medical care under the direction of registered nurses and other healthcare specialists. The tasks that they are permitted to perform vary by state, but usually include changing bandages, checking blood pressure, or helping feed patients. What You'll Do:
Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments. Monitor and document patient health status and communicate changes promptly. Support clients with activities of daily living while maintaining their comfort and dignity. Provide 1:1 care for pediatric clients in school settings, ensuring a safe and healthy environment. Collaborate with families and the care team to implement personalized care plans.
Requirements:
Current New York State LPN license. 6+ months of experience in home care/ school BLS certification (American Heart Association) Physical exam within the past year. QuantiFERON within the past year.
