Overview Jack Jack's Coffee House is seeking a passionate, upbeat, and dedicated Barista to join our team. Help us create an exceptional coffee experience for our customers as well as provide a welcoming and safe space. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in our café by preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining a cozy atmosphere, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards. Operate café equipment including espresso machines, grinders, and blenders with proficiency. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using Square POS. Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any questions about menu items. Manage inventory levels by restocking supplies as needed and reporting any shortages to management. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Uphold the café's standards for quality service and customer engagement. Work in a responsible and professional manner. Requirements Previous experience in food service, barista experience, or the service industry is required. Familiarity with retail math for accurate cash handling and inventory management. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a busy environment. Knowledge of food safety practices related to food preparation and handling. Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor towards customers and team members. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed. Experience with POS systems is a plus but not mandatory. Food Manager Certificate or ServSafe Certification is not mandatory but highly recommended.
