If you're a reliable and compassionate LPN The Pavilion at Queens wants to meet you! The Pavilion at Queens is a 302-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility located in Flushing, Queens. Our mission is to provide the highest level of care for each of our residents. The ideal candidate will be experienced in performing a variety of care practices under the direction of the Registered Nurse and/or Unit Supervisor. This position is the 11pm-7am shift, full-time.

JOB DUTIES

The purpose of your job as a Licensed Practical Nurse is to perform a variety of care practices under the direction of the Registered Nurse and/or Supervisor of the unit/shift. This includes, but not limited to: Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc. Observe residents under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc. Monitor residents' condition including fluid intake and output and compose patient charts. Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds. Collect samples for lab testing as assigned. Provide emotional and psychological support when needed. Communicate with residents' family or friends to provide advice, comfort, and release instructions.

Currently licensed by the State of New York Possesses leadership and supervisory qualities Possesses attention to detail and observation skills that enable the recognition of condition changes in the resident Ability to coordinate all functions in the operation of a resident unit through effective team nursing assignments Kind, helpful and compassionate
