9518003-14456 Job Description Step into a meaningful role supporting a kindergarten student as a dedicated 1:1 LPN. This contract opportunity, located near Geneva, NY, focuses on personalized carehelping transform a students daily school experience with your compassion and clinical expertise. Your primary responsibilities will include providing hands-on support throughout the school day. The student youll work with is wheelchair and walker bound, and requires toileting assistance as well as consistent physical support. As this child does not have cognitive functions, your nursing care will be central to their comfort and participation in their educational environment.
Qualifications/Experience:
Valid LPN/LVN license, with eligibility to practice in New York State Previous experience working with pediatric or school-aged individuals, especially those with mobility or complex medical needs Ability to perform sensitive, hands-on support, including toileting and physical transfers Understanding of how to safely operate and maintain wheelchairs, walkers, and other assistive devices Excellent communication skills to collaborate with educational staff and follow individualized care plans High degree of empathy, patience, and adaptability in an elementary setting
Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive physical support throughout the school day, adapting to the students health and comfort needs Assist with toileting, hygiene, mobility, and positioning in both classroom and common areas Document care provided and changes in the students condition Work closely with teachers and school health personnel to ensure seamless, quality care Foster a supportive, respectful atmosphere that encourages the students participation to the fullest extent possible This opportunity is ideal for an LPN ready to make a lasting difference in a students school experience.
