1 Description American Traveler is hiring an LPN for an outpatient Family Medicine clinic, requiring a NY license (if applicable) and at least 1 year of ambulatory or pediatric experience. Details Outpatient clinic setting within a Family Medicine practice Patient population includes ambulatory and pediatric patients Day shift 5x8 hours, working within a 7:30 AM-5:30 PM window May float to Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Pediatrics locations Uses equipment for EKGs, POCT, injection administration, and ear flushes Requirements Current NY LPN license required, if applicable Current BLS certification required Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required Ambulatory or outpatient clinic experience preferred EPIC charting experience preferred Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills with flexibility and adaptability Competency in rooming, injections, EKGs, nasopharyngeal swabs, blood pressure monitoring, and ear flushes Additional Information First-time travelers will be considered for this role Local candidates accepted at a lower rate; must live more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate Previous employees must wait 6 months system-wide before returning to an assignment Candidates with more than 10 days of requested time off will not be considered Call-off policy allows up to 3 shifts per 13-week assignment, with on-call placement in lieu of a call-off counting toward this limit Responsibilities include medication administration, vaccine administration, wound and dressing care, EKG monitoring, phlebotomy, and patient triage Additional duties include patient history intake, pain assessment, discharge instructions, and follow-up calls
