Qualifications:
Education:
Certificate from an accredited practical nurse program
Licensure:
Current NY State LPN license and registration
Experience:
1-2 years in an ambulatory setting preferred
Technical Skills:
Venipuncture, medication administration, immunizations, basic computer proficiency, including typing
Soft Skills:
Strong clinical, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; bilingual Spanish preferred Demonstrated ability to organize care and activities of multiple patients.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Administer medications, treatments, and wound care under RN supervision. Monitor and document patient conditions, vital signs, and progress. Assist with care plan implementation and collaborate with RNs, therapists, and physicians. Educate patients and families on post-treatment care, medications, and recovery goals. Maintain accurate clinical records, including medication logs and shift reports. Ensure compliance with infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies.
