Jamaica, NY 11434 We are seeking compassionate and dedicated LPNs to provide quality nursing care to Veterans in a long-term care setting. Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to Veterans under RN supervision Supervise and guide Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) in resident care Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, mobility, transfers, and ambulation Monitor residents' physical and emotional well-being and promptly report changes Perform vital signs, weight checks, and other clinical assessments Administer prescribed medications, including oral, topical, injectable, and inhaled medications Provide wound care, dressing changes, skin assessments, and preventive skin care Collect specimens and monitor/report laboratory and diagnostic results Insert, maintain, and monitor urinary catheters, feeding tubes, and IVs as permitted by regulations Administer and monitor oxygen therapy Document all care, observations, interventions, and changes accurately in medical records Participate in shift handoffs, care conferences, and care-plan updates Perform skin observations and report abnormalities to the RN Respond promptly to emergencies, including falls, seizures, and cardiac/respiratory distress Assist with CPR and first aid as required Promote resident dignity, rights, safety, and emotional well-being Educate residents and families regarding medications, health needs, and care routines within LPN scope

$32.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
