Job Purpose:

The LPN will assist the Director of Nursing, Nurse Supervisor and RN in developing plans and achieving that total patient care i s adhered to each and every resident in the unit. Specifically, the LPN will handle the processing o f all medicine and treatment related administrative activities within the agreed timeline and standards established by the facility.

Specific Responsibilities:

Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure Administer medications as ordered and report adverse reactions t o medications o r treatments Dress wounds, give alcohol rubs, apply compresses, ice bags, and hot water bottles, bathe and dress patients, and collect blood and urine samples Monitor patients and chart medical records accurately Report the condition o f a patient back to RNs and doctors Communicate openly and effectively with patients and families, while demonstrating compassion and friendly behavior Supervise nursing assistants Ensure that supplies, medications, and equipment are restocked and maintained s o that they are ready to use Admit, discharge, and transfer patients •Pay rate of $30 per hour.
