Duration:
1-year contract with the possibility of up to 4 years of extensions
Shift Schedule:
Shift 1: 7:30 AM 4:00 PM (3 positions) Shift 2: 3:30 PM 12:00 AM (2 positions) Shift 3: 7:30 AM 8:00 PM (3 positions) Shift 4: 7:30 PM 8:00 AM (2 positions)
Shifts Per Month:
Full-time, ~173 hours/month per FTE (2,080 hrs/year) Credentialing /
Onboarding Time:
8 10 weeks (minimum 2 months per VA)
Pay Rate:
$60/hr on W2
License:
Active, current LPN licensure in any U.S. state, D.C., Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory; must be in good standing with no restrictions
Certifications:
CPR/BLS - American Heart Association (required)
Education:
Graduate of a state-approved school of practical or vocational nursing
Special Skills:
Competence caring for adult psychiatric, medical, and geriatric patients Ability to prepare, administer, and document oral, topical, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and/or IV medications Proficiency with VA electronic medical records (CPRS/VISTA) preferred English fluency required (speaking, reading, writing)
Responsibilities:
Provide skilled nursing care in the Intermediate/Medical Nursing Home Care Unit and Psychiatric units across both campuses Administer and document medications; report patient responses and condition changes to RN or physician Collaborate with healthcare professionals across ambulatory care, critical care, nursing home, and ED units at both Montrose and Castle Point VAMCs Operate independently and under Nurse Manager supervision Complete all VA mandatory TMS training (VA Privacy & Information Security, Mandatory Transient Staff Training) prior to start Prime Physicians is a physician-led, The Joint Commission (TJC) Accredited, ISO 9001 certified and CMMI Level 3 appraised organization.
