Job Description
Under the direction of the Practice Manager and medical provider, and in accordance with approved policies and procedures, provides quality care in an effort to achieve the best possible clinical outcomes. LPN will maintain patient confidentiality. LPN will maintain an appropriate level of knowledge and clinical expertise through continuing education, inservice programs, departmental competencies and self-development activities. na
EDUCATION
Minimum:
- Graduate from an accredited school of Practical Nursing.
LICENSE:
Minimum:
- Current NYS LPN license.
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS
Minimum:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through RQI; must obtain within 90 days of hire
WORK EXPERIENCE
Preferred:
- Previous physician office experience preferred.
SKILLS:
Minimum:
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills.
- Computer literacy
Preferred:
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and electronic medical record
