LPN - Outpatient/Pre-Surgical Screening 2

September 2026 through January 2027 We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a contract opportunity supporting an outpatient healthcare setting. This role works closely with nurses, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to provide patient support and assist with pre-surgical screening and clinical procedures.

Responsibilities:

Escort patients to exam rooms, prepare patients for examinations, and obtain patient information and vital signs. Obtain PCR nasal swabs for pre-surgical patients. Assist with pre-surgical screening, including venipuncture, specimen collection, and EKGs. Prepare specimens for the laboratory and coordinate hand-off to the courier. Assist physicians with treatments and procedures and ensure orders are completed timely. Perform cast, suture, and staple removal and apply off-the-shelf braces. Support efficient patient flow while providing professional, courteous customer service. Maintain an organized and professional clinical environment. Work collaboratively with Registration, Radiology, Physician Practice Management, Physical Therapy, nursing, and other healthcare teams. Provide respectful and culturally sensitive care to patients, visitors, and coworkers.

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program. Current, active NY State LPN license and registration. Current BLS certification. Venipuncture and EKG experience preferred.
