Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Embark on a meaningful school-based nursing assignment supporting the needs of a young student in a vibrant educational community near Woodbourne, NY. This contract opportunity is ideal for a dedicated LPN or RN seeking a role where compassionate care and clinical expertise make a lasting impact. You'll provide important 1:1 support for a 4-year-old student managing Diabetes, ensuring their safety and wellbeing throughout the school day. What you'll bring: Active LPN or RN license in New York Prior experience in a school, pediatric, or similar setting preferred Strong skills in Diabetes management, including insulin pump use, glucose monitoring, and emergency response Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work closely with teachers, aides, and families Ability to deliver patient, attentive care with young children Duties and responsibilities: Deliver 1:1 care to a young student with Diabetes throughout the school day Monitor blood glucose levels and administer insulin as needed via insulin pump Work seamlessly with teaching and support staff to integrate care into the educational experience Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any interventions Support the student in participating fully in daily classroom activities while prioritizing health and safety Respond confidently in case of diabetic emergencies or changes in condition This school-based nursing assignment offers a predictable Monday through Friday schedule from 7:45am to 2:55pm, making it a great fit for work-life balance. You'll receive weekly pay ranging from $35 to $40 per hour, along with healthcare benefits throughout your contract.
