LPN Job Description A licensed practical nurse fills an important role in the lives of people with Developmental Disabilities. They serve to meet all health and safety concerns of individuals; providing basic patient care, working under the supervision of physicians and the DON. Daily you will help to teach our individuals the knowledge and skills needed to obtain their optimal level of independence in health matters, activities of daily living and in LIFE! - The administration and documentation of prescribed medications and treatment
- Assessing and monitoring health status
- Providing timely and appropriate nursing care
- Transcribing physician's orders according to Nursing Procedures
- Maintaining detailed nursing notes
- Participating in the monthly changeover of medications and treatments
- Working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality care is provided
- Providing direct care to individuals as needed
- Assisting with the supervision of direct care staff COME!
