Position Summary:
Enliven Home Health and Hospice is seeking a dependable, organized, and professional Front Desk Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of our home health and hospice agency. This position serves as an important point of contact for patients, families, referral partners, physicians, clinicians, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have prior health care experience and a working knowledge of medical terminology, clinical documentation, patient confidentiality, and health care office operations. An active LPN license or other clinical background is strongly preferred . Key Responsibilities Provide professional front-desk coverage and greet visitors. Answer, screen, and route incoming telephone calls. Communicate professionally with patients, families, physicians, hospitals, facilities, referral sources, and agency staff. Receive and help process home health and hospice referrals. Review incoming referral information for completeness. Assist with obtaining physician orders, face-to-face documentation, medical records, and other required clinical information. Enter and maintain accurate patient information in the electronic medical record system. Monitor incoming faxes, emails, referrals, and time-sensitive requests. Scan, upload, fax, file, and organize patient documentation. Assist with tracking physician orders, certifications, authorizations, and outstanding documentation. Support clinicians with scheduling, communication, and administrative needs. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements. Perform general administrative duties, including data entry, copying, filing, mail processing, and supply management. Provide administrative support to agency leadership as needed. Preferred Qualifications Active Ohio LPN license or another relevant clinical license or certification. Previous experience as an LPN, medical assistant, STNA/CNA, medical office assistant, home health coordinator, or other health care professional. Experience in home health, hospice, a physician's office, hospital, skilled nursing facility, or assisted living community. Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical documentation. Experience working with electronic medical record systems or home health software. Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and insurance authorization processes. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. At least one year of administrative, front-desk, customer-service, or health care experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced health care environment. Professional, dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented approach. Ability to recognize incomplete or missing documentation and follow through until it is obtained. Ability to handle confidential patient and employee information appropriately. Successful completion of all required background checks and pre-employment requirements.
