$24/hour Job Summary We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct nursing care and support patients in a healthcare or institutional setting. The LPN will administer medications and treatments, monitor patient conditions, maintain accurate documentation, assist with daily care needs, and respond appropriately to medical emergencies. Key Duties & Responsibilities Provide nursing care within the LPN scope of practice under the direction of an RN or licensed healthcare provider. Administer prescribed medications, including controlled and non-controlled medications through approved routes. Provide treatments such as oxygen therapy, sterile dressing changes, catheter care, wound irrigation, suctioning, specimen collection, and gastrostomy tube care. Perform or assist with dialysis treatments and monitor patients during procedures when appropriately qualified. Assist physicians with physical examinations, treatments, and laboratory procedures. Respond to emergencies by providing first aid, CPR, and appropriate patient interventions. Monitor and document vital signs, symptoms, medication reactions, treatment responses, patient behavior, and progress. Maintain accurate medication accountability records, patient charts, incident reports, medication reports, and other required documentation. Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, grooming, hygiene, feeding, repositioning, and activities of daily living. Administer prescribed topical medications and eye, ear, and nose drops. Respond to patient alarms and assist with medical appointments, patient escorts, and recreational or therapeutic activities. Provide work direction, orientation, and training to lower-level direct-care staff as assigned. Participate in staff conferences, interdisciplinary meetings, nursing meetings, committees, and in-service training. Order medications and medical supplies and maintain appropriate inventory levels. Clean, sterilize, and restock medication carts and maintain nursing and medication areas. Perform clerical duties such as answering phones, filing, and maintaining required records. Maintain compliance with HIPAA standards, facility procedures, and applicable nursing regulations.
