In this role, you will provide essential healthcare services and support to youth residents, ensuring their physical and mental well-being. The ideal candidate will work closely with licensed social workers (LSWs), staff members, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care in a nurturing environment. Responsibilities Deliver direct nursing care to youth residents, including medication administration, health assessments, and treatment planning. Collaborate with LSWs and other team members to develop and implement individualized care plans that address both physical and mental health needs. Monitor residents' mental health status, providing support and intervention as needed in coordination with mental health professionals. Assist in managing behavioral health concerns by applying appropriate clinical interventions and de-escalation techniques. Train and mentor staff members on healthcare procedures, safety protocols, and best practices related to resident care. Maintain accurate, detailed documentation of all healthcare activities, assessments, and interventions in compliance with regulatory standards. Ensure all licensure requirements are met, including maintaining an active Ohio nursing license, BLS certification, and First Aid certification. Participate in ongoing training to stay current with healthcare regulations, mental health practices, and safety procedures relevant to youth care. Experience Active Ohio LPN or RN license required. Prior experience working in youth residential settings or group homes is preferred. Knowledge of mental health issues affecting youth and experience working alongside licensed social workers (LSWs). Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid is required. Strong communication skills, patience, empathy, and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team are essential for success in this role.
