Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a full-time shift from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. This vital role involves providing compassionate, high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal health outcomes. This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients across various care settings, including long-term care, assisted living, and acute care environments. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and other treatments following established protocols and safety standards. Monitor patients' conditions closely, managing acute pain and responding promptly to changes in status through triage and emergency response procedures. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and caregivers to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and long-term care standards. Assist with diagnostic evaluations, specimen collection/processing, and wound care procedures such as suturing and catheterization. Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral health support. Requirements Valid LPN or RN license in good standing with current state certification. Critical care experience or hospital experience preferred; familiarity with ICU, emergency medicine, or trauma center environments is highly desirable. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in long-term care settings such as skilled nursing facilities or assisted living communities. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; experience with
ICD-9/10
coding is a plus. Knowledge of infection control practices, medication administration protocols, and medical terminology. Strong communication skills for effective caregiver communication and patient education. Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented approach in fast-paced settings. $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
